I hear of a brand new contender soon to be entering the massive global skill gaming arena. Is the market as big as I am told and is uVme a genuine player? Well apparently so as I found out!

Did you know that the online gaming market is growing at the rate of $164 USD every second? Yes, it’s true and even as you read this, one in every ten people are playing skill games online. And the current trends indicate that this number is going to increase to six in ten in the next 36 months!

The scope of the internet is definitely on the rise and more and more people are turning to cyberspace for entertainment! And this trend is now your potential income thanks to the unique online business opportunity brought to you by uVme. The uVme gaming business which has been in development for over two years has invested a seven figure amount to produce a complete package that helps tap into the full potential of the gaming market and it includes an exciting range of skill based online games, a social networking messenger and associate network hardware and software to run the whole platform.

Who is the company behind uVme? I hear you ask. Well, the uVme games program was devised by Virtual World Direct (VWD), who is a top network marketing company, based in Colwyn Bay in North Wales. VWD is by no means a newcomer to the online gaming arena or indeed the multi-level marketing industry. In just 5 years VWD has attracted in excess of 170,000 members, from 133 countries to its core product, the e-Lottery Syndicate System. So what drives the popularity of online gaming? Well, it’s nothing more than the staggering potential reach of the internet. Today, broadband is providing faster web access to people around the world and is making the internet accessible to more homes and internet cafés. In the US, about 75% of Internet users switched to broadband last year, whereas in India, internet users increased by around 54% over a period of one year. In addition, statistics show that online gaming is no longer just a Western pastime, but has also become popular in the developing world.

So while there is no doubt that the internet is the fastest-growing market in the world, there exists another market that has been growing four times faster than even the internet! Today, the web is not only being used for information gathering, but more and more people are turning to it for entertainment as well. These online entertainment trends are cutting into TV viewing and advertising figures. It is estimated that every year online game advertising will grow by 70% and in the next three years, it will be worth billions of dollars (US). It comes as no surprise therefore that TV companies are competing for a piece of the gigantic online games market, as they put their content online in interactive versions and launch gaming platforms.

Alex Burmaster, the European Internet Analyst from Nielsen/NetRatings, a global leader in Internet media says, “Take the fact that the online games sector is growing at four times the rate of overall internet growth together with the increasing numbers online and it is easy to see why companies such as MTV Networks are looking to get a piece of the action.”

Within the gamut of online games, are the casual games of skill that rank high up in the popularity stakes and are the favourite pastime of people across different age groups around the world. These casual games are the usual fun pastime games which include board games like draughts and backgammon, sports games such as pool, golf and basketball and puzzle games like jigsaws. These games are played in a tournament format online as each player pays a cash fee to start playing. A cash or merchandise prize goes to the winner on completion of the tournament.

What’s critical about these skill-based games is that the competition is based on the players’ ability and performance, without any element of luck. This is to make sure that the games are legal and do not count as gambling.

In addition, playing these games has its own unique advantages. Besides challenge and fun, one gets to win rewards ranging between USD$1 and $1,000. And if that’s not enough, playing these games is known to enhance a person’s productivity at work! According to a survey by WorldWinner (May 2007), 76% of people playing online games have achieved improved job performance.

Sure enough, these trends clearly indicate that today, online games are where the money is. The booming sector gives you an exciting business opportunity that you can capitalise on and uVme makes it all the easier for you. uVme can become your business without you worrying about overheads or stocks. All you have got to do is challenge a friend on the uVme games platform and the more fun people have, the greater your profit will be. The 3 in 1 package gives you the ideal platform to skyrocket your earnings and all in easy steps with full support from the uVme team in their North Wales head office. And all this business, while you are at play!

It seems that uVme is certainly not a here today gone tomorrow operation; especially with the backing of the top network marketing company, Virtual World Direct (VWD). I would therefore urge you to take a serious look at the uVme games business today.

To discover the full advantages of joining the uVme Games Business and top network marketing company, then take a good look at uVme today.

The History of Network Marketing and The History of MLM

Image : http://www.flickr.com

What day did Dinosaurs first roam this world? Which was the first type of Dinosaur? We are not exactly sure, though MLM is not nearly as old, the exact date or type is also still unclear. MLM evolved over a number of years, the marketing system was in development prior to World War II. As we all know, MLM is still evolving and maturing everyday.

Though there is word on the internet that “Wachters” was the first company, most people think and agree that Nutrilite, “The California Vitamin Company” was the first true MLM company. Not that it necessarily started as an MLM company, but the type of compensation plan that it later evolved into was much like a multi-level commission payment generated plan.

In addition to being crowned with the founders of a network marketing payment plan, they were also the founders of the Vitamin and Food Supplements industry, way back in the 1920s. Two of the more successfully representatives of Nutrilite was Rich DeVos and Jay van Andel. In the ensuing decade, they built a large, prosperous organization across America.

After the company saw how much money the marketing arm was making they quickly tried to change things around to dwarf commissions, and in light of that, Rich DeVos and Jay van Andel decided to take the situation in a new direction.

In 1959 Rich DeVos and Jay van Andel, formed the birth of a company called The American Way – Amway for short. In the following decades, Amway Corporation successfully established itself as a leading multilevel marketing business, built on strong values and founding principles that continue to sustain their company today.

Perhaps you have you heard of Amway. ;)

Here DeVos and Andel brought with them the multi-level marketing plan which had before been so successful.

Soon there after the Amway Corporation took on the might of the Federal Trade Commission in a test case which took the brakes off the development of the ‘network marketing industry’.

In brief, the decision in this case was that Amway was NOT a pyramid scam, but a legitimate form of doing and offering business.

This ruling opened the flood gates and there were very many companies set up to operate in this way in short order.

Amway continued to rule the industry, and within ten years, they had bought Nutrilite, and Amway has rarely looked back ever since.

Of course, this kind of success attracts a lot of attention and, before long there was also a dark side to the MLM story, one that still causes problems to this day.

The smart company owners soon realized that they couldn’t take advantage of people under the strict, ethical rules of conduct required by the MLM companies, also that doing so would weaken the integrity of the industry. Others came up with a counterfeit version, based on a scam from the late 1920s (The Ponzi Scheme) that looked like MLM.

Thus RE-VAMPED was the Pyramid Selling Scheme.

In the 1960s and 1970s, pyramid schemes proliferated, whereby a ‘product’ was attached to a money pyramid, in order to pretend that they were actually marketing SOMETHING!

It’s ironic that people still mistakenly accuse MLM of being pyramid selling when it was actually the reputable MLM companies that first petitioned government authorities to have pyramid selling outlawed.

This type of business is nowadays regulated and there is a great deal of consumer protection. However, the world is full of dubious characters and there are new scams being made to look like legitimate companies all the time. Keep your eyes open and always do your own due diligence before jumping into any opportunity, it is your life and your time, take responsibility. By trusting members of the DSA, MLMIA, and MLM DRA you won’t go far wrong, but watch out for start-ups which may fail, taking all your hard work with them.

Over the following decades, and continually in to the future MLM is evolving and further developing into a wide array of companies, product ranges, and reward plans. This somewhat unique, and powerful system continues to grow companies and people everyday.

In today’s modern world, the network marketing industry has grown up. Many of the great leaders of the industry have developed some very sophisticated tools to support the back end infrastructure of managing large world-wide networks. New and easy to use prospecting tools have sprouted up that are proven to work for anyone willing to go through the learning and personal development growth curve.

Web 2.0 is not just a buzz word. Social networks, blogs, pod-casts, and online discussion boards are an excellent free resource to promote your business. John Milton Fogg, author of The Greatest Networker in the World calls it “Internetwork Marketing”. You now have great power at your finger tips. More than ever before you have an opportunity to maximize and multiply the power of 6 degrees of separation.

The network marketing industry still continues to face challenges, as all developing industries do. However, the foundation has been laid for the next 50 years to be prosperous, revolutionary to the world of product distribution, and personal success in all areas of life for those who are part of the growth of successful companies.

Old School Network Marketing To New School Network Marketing

Image : http://www.flickr.com

What is old school network marketing, you might be wondering. Well this term old school network marketing is referring to the way people would do business and build their network marketing business in the earlier years of when this industry really began.

Most of these methods are exactly what turns people off and has given the industry a bad name. Now some people will argue with me on this and some will agree. It really does not matter to me if you agree or disagree with me on this. I am simply telling you how it is.

The old school method of building a network marketing business turns people off and give the industry a bad name, in my opinion because this method teaches people to target and approach people who are not qualified or targeted in respects for starting a home based business. This is a method that teaches you to convince people that they should have a network marketing business, instead of talking to people who are already looking for a business.

The old school method of building your network marketing business involves writing a list of friends and family members and possibly inviting them over for dinner and just as dinner is about to begin you take out a whiteboard and start drawing circles. You are doing what is referred to as showing the plan. You try to convince them they should be involved. People eventually got so turned off of this type of prospecting that when they hear the word MLM, they come back and ask you if this is one of those things?

Now with the new school way of building your network marketing business, you are encouraged to prospect and talk to people who have expressed an interest in owning or starting a home based business opportunity. This way just makes much more sense when it comes to business. You are not chasing people down who do not want to talk to you about network marketing, and you no longer have convince people that they should be interested in network marketing.

New school network marketing teaches you how to target the right people who would be right for your business as well. You no longer have to sit down and write out a list of your friends and family to go and convince. There are now companies out there that will actually target market for you and generate interested prospects for your network marketing business, or you can even place ads yourself and generate these targeted prospects on your own.

Then for presenting your network marketing business, you no longer have to pull out the whiteboard and draw a bunch of circles or use flip charts. You now can embrace tools such as telephone conference lines and the power of the Internet to use flash presentations so that you no longer have to give the presentations yourself.

Overall, the new school way of building your network marketing business just makes so much sense. If you really want to expand and take your network marketing business to the next level, I then suggest you embrace the new school network marketing strategies.

Network Marketing – Creating Gift Baskets For the Holidays and Other Occasions

Gift baskets have always been a huge business. One of my old school teachers ran a gift basket business on the side and this was over 30 years ago. Gift baskets are unique and make wonderful gifts.

If you are in network marketing, create your own gift baskets with your products and cash in on this huge market.

Here are several ideas of ways to market these baskets:

1. For wedding showers – What products do you have that would make a wonderful gift for a new bride?

2. For baby showers – If you sell anything child related put together baskets as baby shower gifts and use keywords to market these products that will attract those looking for baby gifts.

3. Teacher gifts – If you have a child in school consider giving the teachers a personally made basket of a few of your products. I’ve always given gifts twice a year, in December and again at the end of the year.

4. Birthday gifts – Consider marketing some of your baskets as birthday gifts. Add extras such as a small happy birthday balloon to the package to really make it unique to a birthday.

5. Retirement gifts – Many network marketing companies makes products that are wonderful for those who are retiring. What can you put together to say “happy retirement?”

6. Anniversary gifts – Over the years I’ve discovered that often men are stumped when it comes to what to buy their wives for a wedding anniversary. Consider marketing a few gift baskets that would make wonderful anniversary gifts with the products from your company.

7. House warming gifts – I have moved so many times that I know the many things a new house needs. If your company makes products for the home create a few baskets that just scream out “welcome to your new home.”

8. Winter holidays – This is the biggest gift time of the year. Put together a wide assortment of baskets in different price ranges. Market to companies giving their employees gifts and to anyone else who is looking for a unique gift to give.

9. Direct sales incentives – Often those in network marketing like to buy from other network marketing distributors. Put something together that can be given for high sales. This is a wonderful place to barter. Maybe you have a team you wish to recognize. Offer to trade products with another distributor.

10. Gift exchanges – I have found it’s always so difficult to buy something unique for gift exchanges. Do a bit of marketing for gift exchange baskets that can be bought inexpensively.

These are just ten ideas on how you can use gift baskets to increase your business, especially during the winter holidays.

Free Signups in Network Marketing

Posted by pacapao | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 20-02-2010

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Like me, I’m sure you’ve read the ads that say “free signup”. Often these ads go on to say that the ad poster has already signed up 10,000 people and the ad poster only started themselves 3 days ago.

What these ads don’t mention is that no one is earning money as nothing is being bought and sold.

There is only one way to make money in business, something must be bought and sold. Bakeries make money selling bread. Real estate agents make money selling houses. Hair stylists make money offering hair cuts and colorings. A product or service must be bought and sold in order for money to be made.

In most network marketing companies, a kit is purchased by the new distributor. This kit contains sales materials, samples and products. The new distributor is now able to use the products and share their own testimonial about the quality of these products or services. They also have catalogs and samples to offer to potential customers.

The new distributor will make money when they sell the products or services to others and when they develop a team.

In the case of the free sign up, so much emphasis is put on signing people up for free, that you end up with the 10,000 people in your downline and not one of them has made a dime, as nothing is being bought or sold.

I’ve found something else over the years. While we all appreciate free, free in network marketing seems to attract those who also don’t wish to know about or use the products being offered. They are joining based on the ad claiming they too can have 10,000 in their downline. There is no interest in the company or the products.

Since the original ad spoke of free, the new consultant does not wish to spend money. They want it all for free. I’ve often heard these new consultants say they’ll buy a product after they earn money. However, like a domino effect, if no one ever buys, no one makes money and so after a short period of time, companies begin removing consultants based on inactivity and lack of product purchases.

If you are considering joining a free signup company, please consider what you’ll be doing to make money after signing up.

IP Network Camera vs Analog Camera

0

Posted by pacapao | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 18-02-2010

Image : http://www.flickr.com

There are are number of reasons why you should choose an IP network camera for your surveillance system. Sure, analog cameras have been around longer, but the IP camera has proven its worth in performance.

The IP tetwork camera has existed since 1996. During its release, network cameras lagged a mile behind analog cameras in professionalism. In the early years, IP network cameras were simply thought of as web cameras used for broadcasting events or objects over the Internet. Fast forward to a decade later, and the good ol’ web cams are now part of hundreds of operating surveillance systems.

Catching Up with the Analog Camera

A few years after it’s introduction, the IP network cameras have been updated and upgraded to catch up with the analog camera in terms of function. Today, the IP camera is at par with the best analog camera in the market, even surpassing it in some aspects.

Winning the Race Against the Analog Camera

Before you choose the model of the camera you want for your surveillance system, you will first have to decide whether you’re getting an analog cam or an IP network camera. For you to make the right choice, it is important that you first understand the important differences between two. By the end of this article, you should be able to understand how the IP network surveillance camera gives you more value for your money.

Interlacing

The first notable difference is seen in the camera’s interlacing. The IP network surveillance camera is at an advantage in this criteria as analog cameras have significant problems with interlacing. High resolution analog camera are not able to capture fast-moving objects and keep the quality of the image because, with in an analog video signal, images are made of lines and all images are created from two interlaced fields. While the analog camera produces blurry images of fast-moving objects, the IP network camera provides crystal clear images because the whole image is captured at one time.

Power Over Ethernet

Getting power to an analog camera means hurdling a major obstacle and shelling out a major amount of cash. With the IP network camera, you have an IEEE 802.3af standard PoE (Power over Ethernet), which means that your networking devices get its power from an PoE-enabled switch over a standard cable that transmits data and video. The device offers major savings to IP camera users as the standard in place means all models or equipment are compatible with the device. PoE also gives the camera centralized backup power, so they continue to work even with a power failure.

Megapixel Resolution

The analog camera follows the olf NTSC/PAl specifications, which corresponds to 0.4 megapixels at 4CIF. The newer IP Network cameras require a higher megapixel range. The higher the resolution of the camera, the more the detailed the coverage of large areas. The camera’s higher resolution also enables essential surveillance functions such as tilt, pan, and zoom.

The above mentioned comparisons are just three of many advantages offered by IP cameras over the analog version. If you want to get a good surveillance camera, get an IP network camera.

Get an IP network camera to serve as your nanny camera, or add it to your digital video surveillance system for maximum surveillance performance. Visit Video-Surveillance-System.com today.

Warren Buffet Network Marketing

Image : http://www.flickr.com

He bought a company called Pampered Chef a while back. If Warren Buffet can see that network marketing is the best business model out their then why do many network marketers not take their business seriously. I like using Warren Buffet for example of how powerful our industry is. The reason he bought a network marketing company is because of the business model and the big opportunity, it can provide for anyone who takes massive action. Leaders in our industry can identify with who Warren Buffet is. Their are many leaders in our industry who are not getting any results in their business and wonder why it’s not happening for the. The fact is that sitting at your desk checking email or doing anything with email is not taking action in your business.

Their comes a point when you have to step back and hold yourself responsible and ask yourself is the activity I do to build my business every day the most effective activity possible. Let’s use Warren Buffet network marketing for example again. When he bought Pampered Chef, do you think he just sat back and did activities that didn’t make the company the most money. Of course not. I will admit that he most likely over sees how the company is being built and has a team that runs the company most effectively. So what does this have to do with you? Most network marketers don’t have the income to hire a top team of people to build and run their business for them.

However, this is exactly why you have to check yourself and your own activity in your business regularly to make sure your running your business the most effective way possible. Warren Buffet network marketing has been used as an effective example why this industry is in a position to put network marketing on the map in a massive way. He is not the only successful business owner that recognizes our industry as the next wave of unlimited opportunity. This is why I bring this up. If you find yourself having challenges building your business, then step back and re evaluate the activity that’s being taken in your business. Their is activity that just will keep you busy and money making activity. Ask yourself, am I doing money making activity in my own business?

These are the most popular packages for each Satellite TV service. So, when you see the fancy promotions and the prices, you now know how much they REALLY cost. Hope this helps. We’ve all been burned by the cable company before when we THOUGHT that our cable would cost “x”, and then the “promo” ran out, and then it seems to double. Remember this, since both DISH Network and DirecTv require a 24 month commitment, if you see an advertised price for a certain amount of time, just remember you’re locked in when those prices go “regular”. At least with cable, when the rates skyrocket, you can jump to satellite. Just ask, ask, ask, what the regular prices are. But, now that you’ve read this article, you now know.

Satellite TV is just that. TV. It’s not a mortgage, or a career decision. It is just entertainment. Don’t overthink it, just be aware of the fine print. The Best Network Marketing Companies

0

Posted by pacapao | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 09-02-2010

Image : http://www.flickr.com

When you ask what are the best network marketing companies, that is a rather interesting question to answer.

You see in this industry finding the best network marketing company comes down to what it is you are trying to accomplish.

If you are looking to earn a few hundred dollars a month, that can be done with almost any company, however if you are looking to earn the dream lifestyle of financial freedom that takes a certain type of company.

So in this article when answering the question what are the best network marketing companies. I am going to assume that you are like me and want to attain the dream lifestyle.

It is crucial that you understand that in the network marketing industry there are really 4 types of companies.

1) These are the scams and schemes, they exist in this industry, although I hesitate to call them network marketing companies.

How can you avoid one of these? Well, typically they have no product associated with them to start, and second if when you are invited to a meeting and they tell you cash only and not to bring any lawyer or police friends, that is a clue!

2) The party planners are some of the best network marketing companies…. IF and this is a BIG IF….. You are only looking to make a few hundred dollars a month and enjoy retail selling product to your friends and family. Some examples here are the tupperware companies, the candle companies and the kitchen supply companies.

3) The Old Guys. When it comes to the network marketing industry, these guys are the giants and have been around for many years! From the eyes of a novice these companies may appear to be some of the best network marketing companies in the industry. I mean they have been around for years so they are stable, they have a track record of success, their product is proven, etc…….

But do not be fooled……. With these mature companies the opportunity to create wealth is gone……. The people who created wealth with these network marketing companies, did so years ago, during the start up phase (typically first 10 years) of the companies growth….

Playing it safe never leads to wealth…

So that leads us to…..

4) Category 4 are the best network marketing companies.

These companies are the new companies, who are showing a real viable chance of becoming the next giant in the industry.

The key is to find one, position yourself within the first ten years, go to work and become part of the reason for the growth of the company, this is where the real wealth in this industry is created, the walk away, drink out of a coconut, residual income wealth we desire.

Here are some tips to help you with your search for the best network marketing companies:

  • typically they are the first to market with a new product innovation,
  • have incredible funding
  • have a highly experienced management team
  • and have a leadership team that can guide their distributors to the top.

192.168.2.1 in Your Private Network

0

Posted by pacapao | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 06-02-2010

Image : http://www.flickr.com

The internet is a collection of networks linked together to form a huge data pool where computers or nodes collect and send data. Information exchange works when a data packet is being sent out of a private network to a public network, after layers of networks, finally reaching the recipient’s private network where data is being read.

From an end user’s view, the router purchased is going to be used as a public network gateway that routes data packets from the internet to users in that particular private network. A good network router will have network security features such as Network Address Translation (NAT) to modify a data’s address source so that a sender’s address is not revealed to unauthorized viewers. This IP address of 192.168.2.1 can be found as a default hardware access page for Belkin or SMC routers, where settings for NAT can be found here.

Visiting 192.168.2.1 in your browser will display a protected webpage stored in the router’s memory. This web page is where you will be able to access the features of that particular router. Say for instance, a Belkin all-in-one Wireless Access Point cum ADSL modem will have a list of features such as wireless security settings, NAT settings, DHCP settings, ADSL dialup settings and other network related settings. All the main features of that router can be found by simply accessing the password protected webpage found on the IP address of 192.168.2.1.

The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol in a router is used to enable automatic IP assignment to computers logged on to the network. As default the router’s IP address is 192.168.2.1, it is not advised to set a computer with a static IP address of 192.168.2.1. Doing so will result in an IP clash, where information exchanging will not be complete. It will be better if the user enable the DHCP feature in the router so that other computers will not be having 192.168.2.1 as their IP address and keeping their assigned IP addresses within the 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255 range which is a private network block.
